On Assessments anger town residents
Posted on December 18 at 7:20 a.m. ( Suggest removal )
There is more to this issue than just the assessment. The timing of it is unusual. First the open book is normally held in the summer-usually July. This year it was held the week of deer hunting season and the Thanksgiving holiday (Nov 19). Many people had plans for that week. The Board meeting was held 10 days later- Nov 29. We only have 30 days I believe, to appeal the board and as of today we have not received our tax notice to see what-if any tax increase we will get.
