Except for an SUV doesn't have a family to feed or insure, it doesn't have emotions about why somebody would want to sell it even though it did a great job for them every day. I'm sorry, but an entity that would rather make a penny and let an employee go vs. keeping an employee and losing a penny doesn't belong in an area that has been destroyed over the last few years by massive layoffs. It just unfairly raises hopes. In my opinion, Grainger saw a wounded animal and took advantage of the situation. That's how large businesses keep getting larger. So, Steve, thanks for writing this. Grainger probably just made another $227k during this comment.

I play the guitar, completely be ear, and write only my own music now. I learned basic chord structures from tab books and followed along to songs I liked, this helped build the necessary coordination and some basic understanding of progressions. You're right, I wasn't forced to play anything as a child, it was my choice and now it is a HUGE part of my life. If I were forced, I don't know if I'd still be at it. If you want to learn to play the piano, maybe start with a keyboard and buy some software (possibly even a keyboard which you can connect directly to your PC using interactive software, I'm sure it exists). This would a) give you the freedom to learn to play on your own time, whenever you have a half hour or more, and b) probably save you literally thousands of dollars in lessons over time. Your call, but it may be the answer. Then down the road you could buy a piano and adjust to the heaviness of the keys vs. what a keyboard would be like.
