On Bringing together young professionals

I am glad to see there is some interest in the group. I understand that the term "professional" is very ambiguous. However, if you strive to be better at whatever it is that you do, I would classify you as one. Ultimately, many of us are not only trying to meet others, but to share ideas. A lot of younger people are still not "set" in their careers at this point. Introducing these individuals to others in their age bracket may lend some insights. Other people may be looking for advice on how to start up their own business and for these people we have lined up some good resources as well. I believe the key here is to stay "professional" at the gathering and leave any drunken debauchery for another time.
The interest thus far has been fantastic. I hope the attendance will be as well. I'll see you there I hope!

Thank you very much for writing this article and, in doing so, helping the Young Business Professional's Group get going. If you're a 35 or under professional please feel free come to the event on May 6th. There are many potential short term and long term goals for the group, however #1 will be welcoming our young professionals with open arms. I'll see you there.
P.S You GazetteXtra types should definitely be there. I would love to shake your hand(s).

We did prove them wrong. Thank you bloggers and GazetteXtra staff for your support. We have received a lot of positive input thus far from the event. The only glaring issue to the contrary was the heat. So, we're working on that. The committee is still working hard to compile the data from the surveys that were filled out. We will give an update regarding what we have found at the next event, which brings me to the next point. We are working on finalizing some of the details for the next gathering, and if you had put your email address on your survey, Forward Janesville will be sending you a date and time when we have an update. Also, if you were unable to attend the event but you would like to stay posted feel free to contact Forward Janesville. (608-757-3160)
I hope everyone will stay optimistic about what we are trying to do here. I feet safe in saying that the people I met at the event were likely people that I will be running into for the next 20 years as we strive for upward mobility in the community. There is clearly no shortage of us ,and with some positve input and a lot of energy, I bet we can make this an even bigger success. Thanks again for your support! Keep it coming, we aren't done yet!
