Putting the notice in the church bulletins was not enough. Most Catholics only go to church at Easter and Christmas. There should have been an article in the paper long before the huge pile of stuff was gathered.

Why would it be unfair?
I see the Recap workers and many things, always working hard and in not-so great conditions and weather at times. They worked long hours helping during the flood. What's not fair is statements such as yours.

"If the U.S. Department of Labor awards the full grant, which it could do in 30 to 60 days, about $5,000 on average would be available to each worker for training and placement services. The average training cost in similar projects ranges from $3,000 to $5,000."
Why are these workers at the highest end of the scale?
Isn't anyone else sick of taxpayers having to bail out everything and everybody?
Good editorial in yesterday's Beloit paper, whom ever you support for president. This spending needs to stop.

Hopefully if this does get built, it will be open 24/7 so that 14-15 year olds will have something else to do at 4:16 a.m. instead of rummaging through other people's property.

They had "average" attendance. That is pretty good. With such a variety of summer music festivals in the area, you pick which ones appeal to you. We hit Milwaukee Summerfest, Beloit Riverfest, various 4th of July ones, Rotary Cornfest, Rock Around the Block, Festival on the Rock, Laborfest. No fairs. Country music is not "country" anymore. Its cross-over/pop. Its whiney. But some people do like that type of music. And they have the fair in Janesville to hear it. If they don't like rock, they probably don't attend the other festivals. Diverse festivals, they are needed. Something for everyone to choose from. Beer, its not allowed at the fair. But its available at all the rest of the festivals. And they have large attendance. It flows and the money pours in. Not everyone drinks, or likes being around people who are drinking, so they have the passive 4-H Fair to go to.

Two cemeteries in Beloit are also doing a massive clean-up of un-allowed things on and planted in the cemeteries. So if you have stuff on graves in Eastlawn and Oakwood cemeteries, your stuff might be removed.
