When a guy I worked with got his PHD, his wife changed all of their magazine subscriptions and their phone book listing to "Dr. Smith".
She was a snob...she even changed their TV Guide subscription!
He, however, still referred to himself as Joe.

I really don't want to subsidize somebody's golf game.

Here's how to fix it:
Raise the greens fee by $3 or $4 to cover the shortfall and pay for upgrades.

noexcuse...this is a city owned golf course. don't try to mix it in or compare it with DNR or other government agencies.
It's the City of Janesville that has raised my water and sewer rates and started new garbage pickup fees...while subsidizing golf for you poor "middle class working people".
And maybe I do "just sound stupid" but, then again, I don't chase a little white ball around and call it a "sport".

Golf is a rich person's sport...let them pay for it all by charging more fees.
