Marge123: Comparing teachers with police and fire is like comparing apples to oranges. Police and Fire/EMS are running the highest level of calls in twenty years. People need to realize that police and fire are vital to infrastructure. Not to mention that police and especially the fire dept. have been short staffed for years. These people deserve our support and respect.

This city does not support it's teachers. I would and will discourage all new teachers from coming to the Janesville School District. All of you teacher haters are just that, HATERS. This city and district are in trouble. I hope you haters feel good about all the teachers that got laid off today. This was a big win for you Walker lovers. How dare teachers with Master's degreees and higher recieve good benefits. Everybody knows teachers don't get paid enough for babysitting, i mean teaching your kids.

Union Grunts? That's getting a little personal. So let me get personal. I am a protective servant union member. I find most of you negative bloggers repulsive. You selfish cowards don't hesitate to dial 9-1-1 when you have an emergency. Who shows up? Union Grunts. You don't hesitate to send your kids to public school for a first class education. Who teaches them? Union Grunts. Give me a break. Nobody ever attacked public servant unions when the economy was good. It's only when the economy is crap that private sector morons attack stable public sector jobs. People always choose to attack something they don't have. We need to quit taking sides and try supporting each other public and private. The governor is guilty for polarizing this state and he should be recalled.

SarahB1: Stay strong in your opinions. Most of these people really have no clue to the extent of walker's plan. Walker could have united the state instead of dividing the state. All you have to do is watch his testimony in Washington about the monetary value of destroying collective bargaining. There is no money value. Nobody on this blog can argue with that.
