On Heading to Break in the Weather today?

Posted on April 19 at 3:36 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

We stuck inside the bar until about 9pm. So, to be fair to the other bands, we did not stick around to listen to them. Just thought it was odd that there was, in our opinion, a better suited band for the tent than what there was at 5pm when we got there. No disrespect to any of the bands that were there. We love live music and are glad that there is such talent in this area. Used to live in Dallas, and there was not this much diversity and talent. Glad to be here!

I was at the Anchor for a few hours, and the best band they had was inside the bar. The band in the tent was kinda lame. Anyone know who was playing inside the bar there? Was about 7pm.

If Elvis were like the impersonators, there would have never been an Elvis. He had the looks, the voice, and most of all the talent. You can't impersonate talent, or the "it" factor. If someone wants to make a living being someone else, go for it! In these times, work is work! I think these "tribute" people start to think they are Elvis, and thats whats sad. To a casual listener, maybe they do sound like him, but to the fans who really followed Elvis, its not even close. It would be about as close as like seeing a black man at a golf course and thinking he is a Tiger Woods tribute artist!

On How should the Green Bay Packers respond to Brett Favre’s ‘unretirement’?

Posted on July 17 at 6:05 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

I have said for many years, that Favre was more concerned about him, than the team. He played in games that he should not have, not because he gave them a better chance to win, but his streak was more important than the team. I will say, after listening to Favre, he should have stood his ground and not retired until he knew for sure. I am sure he was well aware that after his 5th annual "last game", that the fans were not up for another dramatic will he or won't he. Good luck Packer fans, he is the ex-girlfriend that won't go away. This is gonna get worse.

Congrats to Edmund! He is about as nice of a guy as you can get. I sold to him many years ago, and he was always a pleasure to do business with.

On How good will the Milwaukee Brewers be at the end of baseball’s regular season?

Posted on April 10 at 7:07 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

Whybesad, Cordero is 32 and SO IS GAGNE! Gagne was available because he is done after arm surgery, and blew saves daily. Cordero was willing to sign for less to stay in Milwaukee than he did for the Reds. Gagne is on a one yr 10 million donation, and Cordero is getting 46 over 4 yrs. My guess is, by all-star break, you will wish Milwaukee had spent those extra dollars. As of April 10th, there is nothing taking care of "so far". You saw last year, there are 162 games to play. Don't base a season on a 10 day window.

I wouldn't chirp about anything until the season is over. We heard all this "too much offense and pitching" all year. Or at least until August. The Cubs are still the team to beat, yet the Cardinals are always tough with Larussa as manager. The Reds are improved and have the closer the Brewers should have kept. Astros and Pirates will be basement dwellers.

It is a priveledge to drive, not a God given right, or one that all citizens be given. I wonder when he will kill someone, other than himself? Will it be his 6th time? 8th time? At the age of 44, you are who you are, and he has obviously not gotten the idea yet. I doubt he had insurance, those poeple will now have to have their insurance company pay for the damages, and their rates will go up as they try to sue a guy for $100,000, when he couldn't pay a fraction of that for insurance. So who pays for this, we all do. A guy like this should only be allowed to use public transportation and never drive again. I would hate to be on the road when he is back behind the wheel, after celebrating his promotion to assistant fry cook.

On President Bush urges patience with Iraq as war enters 6th year

Bush had no idea of the resolve of the religous fanatics we are facing. Other leaders, including his own father, did. They also knew this is what would happen, no way out. Since his questionable victory in 2000, this country has spiraled into depths we never thought possible. Recession? More like depression-esque. Gas climbing to $4 a gallon, housing market has failed, average houshold income is down, government is bailing out the banks, it goes on and on.
