On Have you bought gadgets that fail to work as promised?

Ronald M. Popeil known for his appearances in infomercials for the Showtime Rotisserie ("Set it, and forget it!") and for using the phrase, "But wait, there's more!" on television as early as the mid-1950s. I bought my rotisserie about 10 years ago and still use it to this day! Only downside to this is that it's bulky and sometimes a pain to clean up. Otherwise great food has been prepared a number of times using this rotisserie.

On Why is your dog (or cat) loose?

Posted on January 19 at 1:40 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

I have an underground radio fence for my beagle. While my beagle does greet just about every visitor with loud howling, it's only because she wants either attention, or asking you to keep moving. Nothing to be scared of. However, there's been times when my beagle ventures outside the radio fence bearing the shocks... she just likes to explore the areas. That there, I got to deal with getting her back into where she belongs. It's not like I let her go on purpose. All fences, underground or stationary have flaws.

On Wis. judge: Remove fake names from recall petition

Posted on January 6 at 1:05 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

I'd like to know how many names were forged into the petition. How can one tell if their name has been put in without permission? Signed petitions are a joke since there is no verification at all. This petition should have been submitted like any one would go about the voting ballots.

On Janesville sidewalk program passes

I forgot to mention that the sidewalk agenda was put on hold long enough to get the rest of the repairs/installation in motion. Good time to get back to finishing up what was started.

On Janesville sidewalk program passes

Many of us had already been burned and had to come up with some financial way of fixing our sidewalks. This sidewalk agenda was already in motion. Granted, we are in economic recession but still had to fix our sidewalk or be faced by the city squad to fix it for you for a fee. Like any homeowner... we all have to maintain upkeep. Don't like it, then there is the option to move or downgrade. Every home owner knows there's going to be cost involved in maintaining a home regardless what economic condition we are in. Like I said, many of us already fixed our sidewalks... now fix yours, get one installed, or move.

What about the skate park in Beloit near Teflon Park? That seems to be doing pretty good.

On Steve Jobs: 1955-2011

And don't forget that if it wasn't for Steve Jobs, Bill Gates wouldn't have gotten off much of a start in building his own PC empire. Even though Bill has stolen Steve's ideas many times over, Steven still went on to create the better product.

Watch the movie: Pirates of Silicon Valley.

On Janesville releases details of sidewalk plan

Posted on September 25 at 7:28 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

If you don't want a sidewalk, you're free to move out to the country. If you don't want to maintain the sidewalks (shovel) city will bill you to have your sidewalk cleared. If you're unemployed, go talk to the city council to make arrangements to have it done another time instead of complaining on here. Everybody has growing pains. Deal with it or move elsewhere, simple as that.
