On State warns not all donations goes to local aid

Posted on April 18 at 12:20 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

I used to work with a guy who did that for years. He said the company he worked for kept 95% of every donation. Another good question to ask is where they are calling from. Every time I have asked that I have been told Nevada or somewhere. NEVER from WI.

You are all simply hilarious! If you had never done the work-out you wouldn't be running your mouths acting like morons! And you can't find anything better to say than to rip on someone's hair? That's highly intelligent! <rolling eyes> When you have the success, skills, motivation and love for your fellow man, the way that these men do, go ahead and run your mouth. Until then don't knock what you don't know!

On Flooding causes evacuations in NW Wis

It's no joke. Try being trapped in your house all day, because both ways out of the area that you live in are flooded. Also, I work at Ashley and it's no fun losing three days of work, because we work overtime on Saturdays too.

On Displaced GM workers getting accustomed to long commute

Posted on December 21 at 6:30 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

Nice story. It reminds those of us here, even those of us without jobs (myself included right now) that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. Whenever GM is brought up, the bashing always seems to start. I feel for the families that have had to make the difficult choice to commute like this. I have talked to families that have chosen this path, chosen to move their families, and chosen to turn down a transfer. Even with as dreary as the economy is in Janesville right now, to uproot a family with kids in school, or whatever the case may be, I understand people choosing to keep their family here and commuting. I will be keeping all of these families in my prayers during this Christmas season and beyond.

I agree about Charter! I won't ever go back to them. It doesn't matter how many fliers they send me EVERY week!

On 43 fans ejected from Lambeau Field

I have to agree with sickofyou: ALL teams have some idiot fans. Nowhere does it say which team the ejected were cheering for. For all we know, some of them could've had free tickets and only been there for the beer and brats and really didn't care who won or lost. Big crowds and alcohol tend to loosen lips and fists. Plain and simple.

On Family awarded $893,684 in Mercy suit

I don't agree or disagree with this family. It wasn't my choice to make. I'm only chiming in here because I was delivered by Dr. Kochell and continued to go to him until I had a miscarriage that he may have been able to prevent had he listened to me and run tests, which he refused to do. I could've sued him, but chose, instead to switch over to Dean and a better Doctor. I healed through prayer and good friends instead of a lawsuit. That was my choice...

On Two injured in early morning crash

Posted on October 23 at 7:40 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

I drove that route to Milwaukee yesterday morning and came back last night after dark and driving in the rain in that construction, to me, was scary. Especially around the Clinton/Beloit area. It may be regulation, but to me it is very narrow. I was driving 48-50mph in a 55 zone and didn't feel safe. I would've liked to have slowed down even more, but I know that I was irritating the people behind me and didn't want to cause an accident that way either. My prayers go out to the people and families of the injured.
