Jason, I appreciate your honesty and your concentration on the issues not the mud slinging. I believe that whether it stays a coroner system or changesto a medical examiner, there needs to be some accountability with the position. It takes a caring, compassionate person to do the job properly. I wish there was time for a "debate" so that the voters could be better informed on the issues.

The article does not say anything about illegal immigrants. There are many Latino's in Rock County who are legal citizens. America is a culturally diverse nation. Why are our "traditions" any more important than theirs? I do believe that all immigrants here in the US should learn the English language. I also believe that we all should educate ourselves on the diverse cultures who represent the communities we live in.

By posting anonymously, people believe that they are not responsible for their actions; their words, their accusations. I find it deplorable that people will use this platform to attack families who have just lost a loved one to a death; or by using a family tragedy to advance a political agenda. Yes, I agree that we should be able to state our opinions on here but I ask.....at what cost?

On A Dying Culture?

I grew up in the military. I have said "yes, sir" and "no ma'am" all of my life. Because of the military, I have moved all over the country and I couldn't believe how rude people are here. Not to mention, they believe I am insulting them by calling them sir or ma'am. We need to teach our children respect, manners and politeness.
