Also and why is it anyone else's business what someone does in their own bedroom on their own time. Is it your business if they sleep with 1 other person 2 other people, if they switch it up . . . .Is it any of your business if two women want to be together or two men. NO this shouldn't even have been brought up. I truly believe that, that is the sole reason why they voted this way. Come on people it's 2010!
On Bid for bar gets negative nod

I honestly think that the board memebers are a bunch or homophobic people and that is the reason why they are giving her such a hard time, it's not that the bar/club may fail it's the fact that she would like it to be a bar/club that is directed towards the gay community. I think that the generation before us needs to open up their eyes not judge people.
On Janesville ACT scores below average again

I would just like to say that I graduated with the Class of 2006 from Parker High School. I can personally comment on the teachers and what is going on in the school system these days. It is both the teachers and the students fault for this decline in ACT scores. First off teachers are definitely not paid enough for what they do. There are pretty much raising the next generations and preparing them for what is to come in the "real world". Yes parents do this as well but students spend 8 plus hours in school (plus sports and extracurricular activities) so the majority comes from them. With all the disruptions and things that are tolerated in school these days it isn’t a big surprise why teachers are having such a hard time teaching students or even caring anymore about who they are preparing. A lot of teachers while I was attending Parker High seemed like they really just didn’t care anymore and where there just to get a paycheck. Students are allowed to get away with more and more things now in school teachers don’t want to overstep their boundaries for punishing a student or reprimanding them. Student’s these days don’t respect teachers and what they do. If teachers were allowed more options for punishment and not have to put up with all the bulls*** they would probably be able to teacher their students more and do a better job. A lot of parents really don’t know what goes on in school and don’t ask their children or voice their opinions when they should. A lot of parents can sit here and put full blame on the teachers but you really don’t know how your child acts in school, whether they pay full attention, just sit there and socialize, even go to class at that, or even what they are doing after school or on the weekends. As many of you parents that think your know what your child is doing you don’t you just assume because your child brings home good grades that everything is going great and that they are doing what they are supposed to do. Well get this a lot of students cheat, copy homework, play on their phones during class, steal teachers editions of books or even buy them online. When is the last time you went to s patent teacher conference, checked up on your kids, sat with them while they did their homework, checked in with their teachers ???

Heroin use is a very hard addiction to kick and there is not enough help out there for the people who are suffering like there is in other states. Also, if there is help out there it is far to expensive for anyone to afford. Heroin use effects all walks of life and the person using doesn't have to have a bad "home life" or parents who didn't care or no interaction with other people. There are kids using that get straight A's in school or go to work everyday. People you would never even guess that have drug problems so don't judge and don't assume things.

I think it is unreal ranjan that you would just asume because someone listens to hip hop music that they are a gangbanger and need to leave the city that is so rude to say. I am sure the bar has had problems on nights that there wasn't hip hop playing but they want to make it look like it is all because of that. There are plenty of other bars in town that play hip hop and do not have as many problems. There is also a bar downtown Timeout that almost always has a band playing on Friday and Saturday night for those of you looking for a live band. But please dont' just assume beacuse someone listens to hip hop music that they are a gangbanger and should not live here.

snazzyj1977 I can understand what you are saying if you know who these people are that are talking about losing their jobs and not having them offered back. It is nice instight to know that this is why some people where laid off, I am sure Lab Safety and Grainger would greatly appreciate you telling everyone this is the "real" reason why they were laid off and not what was stated to them when they were rudely walked out of the building. I thnk maybe you should pull what ever is stuck up your butt out!

I just want to voice something here so your going to lock your med cabinets in hopes that this helps. It may stop some kids from using or taking these drugs for the first time, but if the kids already have problems they are going to find somewhere or someone else to get the drugs from. I think parents need to stop being so naive and start to look for signs that there children may be using drugs and not think "my kid is a good kid they would never do that", or blame it on another kid for giving them the drugs, your child took the drugs on there own free will . . . Kids from about 10 to 12 and up know what the drugs are and what they can do. . . We go over these things in school. . . A straight a students who doesn't cause any problems and goes to church everyday and listens to their paretns still can be a drug user or a drug addict!

It has already been temporairly scheduled by the DEA and is illegal for at least the next year and up to 6 more months after that. It was made federally illegal so why is this story even being printed?
