On Scout project brings new life to Janesville's Riverside Park

I had to register and chime in. I havn't lived in Wi for 25 years now but read the gazette on line everyday. I have been reading the great things that are going on in Riverside Park. The shuffle board courts, wading pool and now the playground! When I was visiting Janesville about 10 years ago I took my family down to riverside, because of the wonderful memories I have about the park and Janesville. The park was empty except for us and the pool was closed and the park seemed like a ghost town. I was so dissapointed. While growing up in the 70's, we spent many a day in Riverside and Palmer parks playing in the wading pools, buying popsicles at the refreshment stands inside the pavillions. Climbing the hills through the woods and the trail along the river in riverside always was a blast, playing hide and seek in the woods! I am sure many of you out there have the same memories of this great place! So glad to see it coming back to life. The next time I make the trip from Phoenix Az I will be sure to check things out at Riverside Park. Great work citizens of Janesville!
