Beloit schools take a half-day once a month (second Wednesday) for staff development. As a teacher, I would rather work an entire day!

There are so many "illegal" immigrants that had no choice to come to the USA...their parents brought them here when they were very young. The USA is what they know. These young kids grow up in our educational system only to have door after door shut in their face. I am amazed that many stay in HS under such circumstances. These young people need to have something to keep them going and be productive citizens.

I am a school teacher in Beloit (on my lunch period before you blast me). How great is Scott Walker's agenda working? Well enough that despite having employees pay into their retirement and pay thousands more for their insurance while closing two elementary schools as a cost saving measure, we are still looking at a $4 million + in budget cuts for next school year. Where is this economic savior?

The Beloit Memorial - Milton soccer match has been moved to Milton HS on Friday, October 14th at 6:30 PM. Apparently wet conditions at UW-Whitewater forced the move.

Beloit Memorial hasn't lost to Craig in the last three years....think this years BMHS team is a little too dominant for Craig!!

Parker played an excellent game and executed defensively really well. The win catapulted Beloit Memorial to 13-5 on the season and clinched their third consecutive Beloit/Janesville Cup Challenge with one game remaining!
On Schulte seeks 3 percent pay hike for school's non-union workers

It is reasons like this that the union and teachers get their undies in a bundle. Schulte wants to give a 3% raise to the highest paid employees of the Janesville School District -- the principals and other administrators -- while asking teachers to take a cut. It is a cycle that never ends.
On Janesville Craig, Parker soccer teams fall short

Beloit/Janesville Cup Standings as after this game: Beloit 6 points (2-0 record), Craig 1 point (0-1-1 record), Parker 1 point (0-1-1) with each team playing each other again. Beloit only needs two ties or one win to retain the Cup for the third straight year in what is the third season of the Challenge. Go Knights!! :)

Here - We have PLC's one a week after school and once a week during our shared prep time. We also have a meeting after school every Wednesday and a meeting once a month during school for an hour with rotating substitutes. Lots of meetings!!
