On Janesville plan commission votes down Menards storage unit plan

WOW I really had to laugh! The lawyer is telling Menard's they should do something for the community? I suppose the jobs they create and taxes they pay isn't enough huh? Then again that was said by a guy that probably charges $250/hr and has the meter running for the 10 minute drive back and forth from courthouse.

Does everyone in Milton give their opinions in over exaggerated capitalization of words when they are talking too? I know exactly why someone would not want the Gazette investigating a story! It's because they go off half-cocked and start reporting before all the facts are revealed just to fill space around the ads that make them the real money. I remember when a man was publicly humiliated a few years back when he was arrested and his full name/address published in the Gazette for the rape of a high school girl. Only problem was 24 hours later the Janesville Police realized they had the wrong person and then found the correct person.

On Opposition to bill on food stamps for junk food

What really ticks me off is when people need to use food stamps to pay for themselves and then they buy pet food with their own money. How about getting your priorities straight you moron!

On Opposition to bill on food stamps for junk food

Went to the grocery store this morning and saw 3 greatly overweight women buy $80 worth of soda and nothing else with their food stamp card. Having worked in retail before, I can tell you they are probably selling it to a shady gas station owner for cash. For all you people that think food stamps isn't enough to feed yourself, then why are so many people on food stamps overweight/obese huh?

I found this article to be a little bit of a crock myself...
"He found a downtown that’s just as strong as any other. He found vibrant neighborhoods with few signs of distressed homes.
He also found that retail trade is solid, particularly along Milton Avenue and the city’s north side, where he focused his interest. He learned the community had more white-collar workers than blue."

On Panel passes Wis. food stamp work requirement

Nationwide I'll vote for a Democrat candidate in elections, but when it comes to Wisconsin government the Republicans have their heads on a lot straighter than the liberals do. Foodshare is abused beyond belief. It amazes me how much people will complain about how they need that money for food and then you see the types of people with a foodstamp card in their wallets. Tattoos, body piercings, booze, smokes, lottery tickets, etc. Sorry but it's not my fault you waste your money on stupid stuff! Survival of the fittest people!
