Ban motorcycles? A ban on bars would be more appropriate.
When pubs were invented, your transportation could get you home no matter how incapacitated you may have been.

On Group questions church-state separation in Janesville public school

Actually, Sannio Thomas Jefferson didn't say that. And the idea of separation of church and state was not to protect the government from the moralities of religion. Rather, it protected people to freely worship from the government. As is evident in some of these real TJ quotes.
"I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man."
"If a nation expects to be ignorant and free ... it expects what never was and never will be."
"The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first."--
The fact that the church is letting the school board use their meeting hall is one thing. To actually cover up their own materials while it is loaned out shows extreme accomodation. Let's see the same type of generosity from a group like the freedom from religion foundation.

Interesting opinion poll.
How is keeping a recording of a traumatic incident similar to government control or oppression?
Why are people so extreme? Moderation and common sense should tell you that you do not have the right to listen in on someone's call for help based on the fact that tax dollars paid for the service.
Privacy vs. the public's right to know is not an all-or-nothing situation.
I'm all for government accountability, but that isn't even the issue debated here. People are looking for tabloid quality news.
I recommend to those that need to know to find a very slow checkout line at Woodman's and enjoy. Leave the grieving families alone.

I think the principal is concerned about following protocol. If you see a rule here and an exception to the rule there, you have to wonder why. Is the rule wrong or is the exception wrong?
If there is a rule, it needs to be enforced...for everybody. If the rule is crazy, it needs to go.
It is up to the largest group or the most important opinions to decide. That is the democratic way.

On another note, what a miserable way to go about it.
