The tunnel was a bad idea from the start. Can we say good place for Rapes and Muggings!! Dangerous for all ages.
Now you want to put in an island and slow traffic-O Boy I see death here.
I travel this everyday. Most of the runners and bikers don't use the flashing indicator light. Maybe a bigger light and instructions to push button would help.
I'm sure a policeman on occassion wouldn't hurt either.
Less expense all the way around.
On Janesville says shelter must shut down by Tuesday

There has been a lot of questions about the operation, but we do know that a place like this has become necessary in Janesville. So now what can the city do to help make this work. Seems to me we have enough vacant buildings that we could with help from the city make a place for these individuals to go.
So city council,I believe it is up to you to help this situation out. We don't want these people in tunnels or under bridges.

I don't share comments very often, but when things like this happen it affects everyone differently. The family and friends who have to deal with this are in my prayers.
Those of you wishing for the death penalty and blaming presidents really doesn't have anything to do with what happen today.
Oh, and the reporters at the gazette don't always have a long time to type out the news. Give them a break. It's not easy writing a story when you are not given or given to many different facts.

4th Ward area is not a real safe area yet. Traxler is ideal and central as someone said. Also if this would happen, then the city could clean up the rest of the park and we would again have a beautiful Traxler Park.

On Milton woman injured trying to stop runaway car

The accident was awful. The woman was running out after the car. When she was in the street she saw Mr. Penton turning on to her street, she was waving her arms back and forth quickly,but he hit her car and she went sailing 30-40 feet. Mr. Penton's car stopped two or three houses away. The woman's husband ran out to the injuried woman. Mr. Penton stood leaning up against a tree. The officers didn't even check to see if he had been drinking. Mr. Penton car turned from the corner onto the street two houses from the accident. How did he get the car going so fast to cause such a blow to the car to make the woman sail thru the air? Did he not stop at the corner and just turn? There were no signs he tried to stop! The woman has extreme head injuries and it's not looking the best for her.
