On How often do you 'come home' to Janesville?

Posted on March 30 at 12:46 p.m. ( Suggest removal )

It's sad that some people only come back for an emergency or funeral. I was like that at one time, but then I had to actually come back for an emergency (and ultimately a funeral). Still regret that I couldn't make the time to visit before it was too late. Since then, I come back once a year. I generally schedule the trip for October and visit as many friends and relatives as possible. I always enjoy my time in Wisconsin, but am ready to get back to Sacramento after about a week or so.

On It's Holiday Party Time!

Last year, the corporate office forgot to tell our office that we had a $25 per employee stipend to spend on a holiday meal until around Dec 15th. The office manager spent a couple days calling around trying to find a place that could cater. Surprisingly, we found a restaurant that would do it on short notice and we had a pretty nice meal.

This year we get hot chocolate and cookies.
