Did anybody hear how his court hearing went today?

Let us not forget, this all stems from a former Rock County deputy accused of SEXUAL assault. He never should have been a participant of the party though he has been at others at the same house before. The owner never should have allowed the underage drinkers. All around sad situation, young woman scarred for life, home owner arrested, and man loses his career. Who in the world started this snowball effect?

He would not have had to resign if he was innocent of said charges. Obviously they have enough evidence to be able to terminate him. They must have enough to convict him.

Let us all just be thankful in the fact that he will no longer be employed by the sheriffs department. On the bright side for him, now he can go to all the parties with under age drinkers that he wants and not have to worry about losing his job over it.

AMEN to the last comment. I pray for the innocent young woman and the family of the deputy.

The deputy knew the young woman and did know that she was not of age to consume alcohol. He was not responding to the call. He was a party participant. He should not have been there at all, or maybe this incident would have been avoided.

JnvlMom, I agree with you but the adults who knew there were persons of non-legal drinking age should have stopped the party or left themselves. Especially the police officer who is supposed to uphold ALL laws. Maybe this tragedy never would have happened if these people would have been more responsible.

All of the adults should be charged with contributing. After all, they are the adults and should know better. The police officer certainly should have known better. As a previous article stated, he did know the accuser.

Madison news channel NBC 15 certainly gives more details on the alleged incident. Yuck.

I agree with etown. Why haven't we heard or read anything about the hosts of the party and the other adults in attendence? Seems like they should be held accountable for some of this sad situation too.
