On Milton to study soccer field plan

Outstanding idea, and great location for this park. When members of the soccer club showed up at the Crossridge Park Ad-hoc meeting to run the plan past the committee members they really had a great concept. Crossridge Park was not the most ideal location due to the trail, prairie restoration, and planned YMCA building; however, we assured them the city would work with them to find an alternate location. Todd, the council, and the Milton Soccer Club have done a good job in 'making this happen' in quick fashion. This will be a great addition to the city.

Great people that deserve this recognition! The entire family has been assisting Edgerton's sports programs for as long as I can remember. Thank you for all you do.

For those that have not heard about the dog park in Milton: Miltondogpark@blogspot.com
I also have a Min Pin that is 13#'s who would take the lead in most situations. She would greet another dog in the same way as a large dog would. Just because a dog comes charging at you does not mean it intends to bite. If your dog is too fragile to play with other dogs, then I agree with the suggestion of taking your dog to a smaller dog park when it is empty. A city can not accommodate every situation.

John,
Thank you for sharing with us. Our prayers go out to you and your family. You are inspirational. Your ability to share what you have experienced with the readers is to be commended. I have never met you, but after reading your articles I think it is safe to say you opened up yourself so that we all felt like we were friends of yours. Your courage is not only evident in your openness to share your feelings with a sometimes unforgiving blog community, but more importantly in your determination to keep a smile on your face. You were honest and forthcoming in a way that really hits home. You made a difference in our lives by helping us understand the process, the feelings; the hardships; the fears; and the emotions you were experiencing. Thank you and God bless you.

Don't just read about it, get involved! Come help collect native prairie seeds to be planted in 7 acres of land in and around Crossroads Business Park.
Saturday, October 10th, 9am starting at Rotary Gardens in Janesville and eventually moving to Milton to pick seeds from the established native prairies located at the high school as well as Crossridge park.
Milton Parks Ad-hoc committee will continue the 7yr tradition, but this year we have been asked by Milton DPW and Wisconsin DOT to plant a 6-7 acre area along the new Hwy 59 expansion on on Milton's east side. The area will be planted at the end of the project by the MECCA students as a class project. We have about 3 acres of seed ready to plant from last year, but we need your help! More information as well as pictures of our already established prairies containing wild grasses and flowers native to this area in full bloom can be found at:
