Did you think about the fact that if the older union members are retiring now that problem will
solved --no layoffs and hiring for younger unemployed people.
May not be need to stop collective bargaining as the new hires can be on a different pay scale.

They got to be miserable by now. Ever try to stay in a hotel for over 2 weeks in the winter in the Midwest? TV gets old and unless they have something to do it can be awful. I give them credit for that --sort of like being in jail?? Or sleeping on the Capitol floor. Not so comfortable.

I have been trying to see my senator, Jon Erpenbach and he is no where to be found. An important wind turbine siting issue was being decided and he was not in his office. I want to be represented.

I think not! The Republicans are not only the rich.
They are middle class people as well who have not maxed out their credit cards. They are debt free and sick of watching spenders not saving enough to pay their bills then expecting others to take care of them in old age.
Of course there are the rich too but the deal is if you don't pay your bills as a businessman you are out of business. Should be the same with households too including the public servants and Democrats.
Same goes for the government bodies.

It doesn't sound like most can see the big picture for the future.
Things go much better when you haven't maxed out your credit card.
Children and the needy will be much better cared for when there is the ability to

Courage is to choose to move on and make a life with the situation you are in.
