On Milton High School Coffee Club helps students, staff bond during morning chats

This is a wonderful idea. A chance for students and teachers to talk and help students build on social skills. Sometimes the simple and least expensive ideas are the best. This makes me proud of our Milton students and teachers. Way to go!

On Wis. craft brewers fight possible brewing changes

I think this is sad for the State of Wisconsin. I think local breweries is a boon to tourism and the local economy in those areas. We take many trips to New Glarus and the brewery is always a favorite stop especially with their beautiful new building. I guess big business rules Wisconsin.

On Clerk contenders focus on efficiency

Mr. Schlittler would be a great as the Clerk of Courts (and I'm a Democrat). In my opinion, Mr. Mielke's staff are the true assets that keep the department going.

On Board OKs plan to seek designs for Rock Haven

I am not sure exactly what the 2009 study showed but I think a new law goes into effect that they have to install a fire sprinkler system. With the size of that building I am sure that will run into the millions. Plus, I don't think it has air conditioning either.

Napalm~ when in the world did the schools system become responsible for teaching kids values? I am not a teacher, nor do I always agree with the school systems, however the last time I checked values should be taught at home with the job of raising a child. Maybe the first person you should point your finger at is the individual you see in the mirror everyday. Are you doing your job?

If it were my kid there would be a public apology written by the child with their plans for restitution put in the local paper. My child would have to decide on their own punishment prior to even what the courts would dictate.

I agree with No1shouldHate. It would be nice if they left a few nights and weekend hours since there are still a few of us working in this city and can not make it during business hours. Maybe they could cut the morning hours once or twice during the week? I was there two Monday's ago around 6:30 PM and the place was packed. I was there twice on Saturday afternoon and had to wait to drop off both times. I don't mind waiting in line. I do mind the council making it impossible to drop off my clippings. I would be curious to see a log of busiest times and days.

Do not assume because you quit/fired you are not eligible for unemployment benefits! Still file. They will do a fact finding interview and then determine eligabilty. Check out DWD's website. http://dwd.wisconsin.gov/uiben/benfaq2.h...
