On Janesville School Board hears minorities’ concerns

Posted on April 26 at 8:40 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

Lack of diversity is not an example of "ignorance".Forced segregation and forced diversity are the problems.People including kids and teens self-segregate themselves all the time.If all Janesville high schools had two french teachers, one black and one white and the teens were allowed to choose wich one to go to, does anyone not know what would happen?

But if allowed that choice it may contribute to the problems we already have in our schools.People always wanna say racism is learned at home.Well, it's ALSO learned at schools, jobs, bars..everywhere.If a white kid is picked on or bullied at a school where blacks are the majority that white kid may learn racism where he didn't have it before.Same goes for any color wether in the majority or not.

People that preach for or about diversity are often some of the most intollerant people.Schools have pretty clear guidlines on whats tolerated and whats not concerning student behavior.

"See? This is a prime example of people who aren't aware of the legislative process. You DON'T get to object - you live in a representative democracy, and don't have a direct voice. If you don't like what your representatives have done, then by all means vote them out next election. In the meantime, you have no say. Welcome to our government, as it's been since day one. We're glad you're now paying attention to it."

Hmmm...that seems wrong,no?

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

On Pro: ACORN can play key role fighting global warming

Posted on January 23 at 10:54 a.m. ( Suggest removal )

I agree, this a laughably biased article with at least a couple complete fabrications to boot.Hmmm...lets see here
-
"ACORN is considered a latter-day embodiment of the anti-Christ by the nation’s right-wing fringe"....Opinion, and criticism of ACORN is nowhere even close to being limited to the "right-wing fringe"
-
"First came the baseless allegations of voter fraud that popped-up in the late stages of last year’s presidential election"... The author makes it look like ACORN is guilty of nothing, wich undeniably un-true.And with so many accusations and convictions of voter fraud/voter registration fraud, does anybody really believe that the low level workers are not being "coached" by people above them?
-
" A consensus of world-class international scientists"... Consensus as always does not equal causality nor fact.
-
"doomsday hour in confronting a climate change crisis that—if allowed to continue unabated—could well wipe out civilization as we know it"...very,very much opinion and a huge leap in logical thinking.
-
"ACORN can be—and should be—a vital force in America’s belated decision to join the rest of the world in thwarting global warming"...Again, very much opinion and presents a false scenario where it's only the United States balking at "thwarting global warming"
-
Hey, is it not man-made global warming anymore?

I am going to echo some of the sentiment in here.I really think it's going to become less and less about if you have a (R) or a (D) after your name. The corruption,bribes,back-room dealings, lobbyists, lies,it all has to go.We the people deserve better and i believe will start demanding better from our representatives.Between Obama and Pelosi i think we heard promises to end all those things.
-
Here is two more predictions. We are going to hear less and less cries of racism.Liberals and progressives are going to slink back under whichever rock they crawled out from.

Exhibit C-Danny Glover "And I hope we seize this particular moment because the threat of what happens in Haiti is the threat that can happen anywhere in the Caribbean to these island nations, you know?
They're all in peril because of global warming; they're all in peril because of climate change. When we see what we did at the climate summit in Copenhagen, this is the response, this is what happens, you know what I'm saying?"

It’s simply undeniable that it’s in our-long term collective health interest to keep children from drinking and encourage adults to quit.
