Tanner Polglaze scored the game-clinching goal in overtime as the Janesville Jets defeated the Minnesota Magicians 4-3 in an NAHL game Saturday in Richfield, Minn.
Janesville (24-9-2-0) had a six-game winning streak snapped Friday in a loss to the Magicians (17-16-3-1), but Polglaze’s goal 4:16 into the extra session delivered a weekend split for the Jets.
Minnesota’s Brendan Skarda and Janesville’s Jakov Novak traded goals in the first period. Janesville went ahead 3-1 on a pair of Benji Eckerle tallies in the second period.
Matthew Stanton pulled the Magicians within one in the third period and Ben Schultheis scored with five seconds left to send the game to overtime.
Carter Ekberg and Novak set up Polglaze’s game-winner. Novak has recorded a point in 13 straight games and has 46 overall this season, tied with Austin’s Travis Kothenbeutel for the NAHL lead.
The Jets return home Friday to face the Fairbanks Ice Dogs at 7 p.m.
