The Janesville Jets had few answers for Evan Fear on Friday night.

The Springfield goalie stopped 21 of 22 shots to lead the Junior Blues to a 3-1 NAHL Midwest Division win at the Janesville Ice Arena.

Janesville, which remained in first place in the division despite the loss, trailed 1-0 in the first period before Kip Hoffmann tied the game at 15:50 on a power-play goal.

Springfield took the lead for good at 7:40 of the second on Jeff Skinner’s power-play goal. Fletcher Fineman’s goal early in the third period concluded the scoring.

Daniel Lebedeff made 20 saves for the Jets.

The teams conclude the two-game series at 7 p.m. today.
