Lucas Andersson scored with 12 minutes remaining to break a tie game, and the Odessa Jackalopes handed the Janesville Jets their first loss of the young season, 2-1, as part of the NAHL Showcase on Friday afternoon at the Schwan Super Rink in Blaine, Minnesota. 

Brenden MacLaren's fourth goal in four games, coming off assists by Erik Palmqvisk and Kip Hoffmann, gave Janesville (3-1) the lead 12:46 into the first period. 

The Jets killed six power plays during the second period, but Odessa (2-3) tied the game on Zach Heintz's goal at 4:17. 

Andersson's first goal of the season pushed the Jackalopes in front during a 5-on-3 power play at 8:00 in the third period. It was Odessa's only successful power play in eight chances. 

Jets' goalie Daniel Lebedeff saved 40 of 42 shots in the loss. Odessa's Brett Epp made 42 saves.
