The Janesville Jets are already off to a hot start.

Now the North American Hockey League team will try to keep momenum going at home.

The Jets’ home-opening series is tonight and tomorrow against the Minnesota Magicians. Game time each night is set for 7 p.m.

Janesville went 3-1 at the NAHL Showcase tournament in Minnesota last week and is 4-1 overall, leading the Midwest Division with eight points. The Magicians are 0-2 to start the year.

Kip Hoffmann, the Jets captain, leads the team with seven points and six assists through the first five games. Fellow returner Brenden MacLaren has scored a team-high four goals and has added a pair of assists.

First-year Jets coach Gary Shuchuk has rotated goalies through the first two weeks of the season. Garrett Nieto is 3-0 with a 1.33 goals against average and .942 save percentage. Daniel Lebedeff is 1-1 with a 1.52 GAA and .952 save percentage.
