Daniel Lebedeff stopped 30 of 31 shots and was backed by three different goal-scorers as the Janesville Jets defeated the Coulee Region Chill 3-1 in an NAHL game Saturday at the Janesville Ice Arena.
Janesville (27-9-2-1) has earned a point in five straight games and remains 12 points back of Fairbanks for first place in the Midwest Division. Coulee Region (12-21-3-5) sits in fifth.
Jakov Novak’s 23rd goal of the year gave Janesville the lead at 3:24 in the first period. Collin Price answered for Coulee Region at 12:41.
The Jets took the lead for good on Kip Hoffmann’s unassisted, shorthanded goal 2:55 into the second period. Tanner Polglaze added to the lead on an empty-net goal with 31 seconds left in the third period.
Janesville begins a four-game road trip Friday against the Minnesota Wilderness.
