The Edgerton Crimson Tide topped Janesville Parker to capture their home wrestling dual tournament title Saturday.
The Tide won the decisive head-to-head match 46-30. It was tied 30-30 before Edgerton got pins from Daniel Clark (132) and Cole Bavery (138) and a major decision from Carter Klein (145).
Edgerton also beat Big Foot/Williams Bay, Madison Memorial, Oconomowoc and Burlington JV to go undefeated on the day.
Parker beat Burlington 57-21, Big Foot/Williams Bay 78-6, Oconomowoc 72-9 and Madison Memorial 78-3.
“It was an outstanding day for us,” Parker coach Daniel Jackson said. “We’re seeing a lot of progress from our guys.”
The Vikings were led by Brett Perkins, Tre Smith and Jakob Barlass, who all went undefeated on the day.
Perkins earned his 100th career victory in the process.
Barlass won all of his matches by pin, and Smith had four pins and one victory by forfeit.
“Brett might creep up on our all-time career wins total. It’s still early in the season, and he’s got a lot of matches left. It’s a great accomplishment,” Jackson said. “And it was a good boost for both Jacob and Trey, just going out and competing and competing well.”
Parker wrestles at Whitewater on Tuesday.
