Kate Prudent scored three goals and set up another as the Madison Memorial High girls soccer team routed visiting Janesville Parker 8-0 in a Big Eight Conference match Tuesday.
The Spartans (3-4-1 Big Eight) doubled their conference goal total and moved into sixth place. The Vikings (0-11-0, 0-7-0 Big Eight) were shut out for the seventh straight game.
“They had a nice passing game through the middle,” Parker coach Jenna Rosienski said. “We were unable to adjust to that and stop that. They have some great finishers on that team.”
Rosie Patton, Harper Johnson, Nora Erlanzson, Hailey Collins and Maddy Sturm also scored for the Spartans.
Parker keeper Isabella Toberman recorded 32 saves in the loss, Rosienski said.
“She’s grown a ton from the beginning of the year,” Rosienski said of her freshman keeper. “Although our record doesn’t show it, we’re in a lot of these games. We’re just unable to finish the ball in our opponent’s final third.”
Parker hosts fifth-place Madison West on Thursday and nonconference opponent Racine Case on Friday.
