A one-goal deficit after one period apparently did not sit well with the Rock County Fury on Friday night.
The area’s girls co-op hockey team erupted for five second-period goals, including three of Maggy Henschler’s four tallies on the night, to storm back and beat host Onalaska 7-3 in a nonconference game.
Rock County, ranked fourth in the state, improved to 13-2-2 this season.
The team trailed 2-0 in the first period before Henschler got the Fury on the scoreboard with her first goal.
Down 2-1 to start the second, Rock County scored four goals in the first seven minutes to take control.
Dani Heitsman had two goals for the Fury, and McKaylie Buescher made 16 saves.
Rock County hosts the Badger Lightning on Monday night in Beloit.
