Janesville Parker High’s girls basketball had gotten used to ending the regular season with big wins over Madison West.

The Regents turned the tables Saturday.

Kate Carlson dropped 26 points as West upended Parker 59-46 in a Big Eight Conference game in Madison to defeat the Vikings for the first time since 2012.

West (5-16, 3-15 Big Eight) snapped an eight-game losing streak while Parker (8-14, 6-12 Big Eight) fell to 2-8 in its last 10 games. The Regents held a 28-16 lead at halftime.

The Vikings were missing UW-Green Bay commit Julia Hartwig, who was injured during Thursday’s loss to Madison Memorial. Tina Shelton and Brooke Graesslin led Parker with 10 points apiece.

The Vikings made nine 3-pointers, a season high, in the loss. Jacy Benway, Graesslin and Forrestal each made a pair of 3s.

Parker beat West in its regular-season finale in 2016 and 2017.

Parker opens the WIAA playoffs Friday at Middleton.
