The visiting Badger Badgers fell into an eight-point hole in the first half and couldn’t recover Friday in a 57-52 Southern Lakes Conference loss game against the Burlington Demons.

Jess Burling scored 23 points, including 9 of 13 free throws, to lead Burlington (11-6, 7-2 SLC).

Chloe Kleeman paced Badger (9-7, 5-4 SLC) with 16 points while Courtney Oomens added 15.

Watertown (9-8, 2-7 Badger South) led 29-18 at halftime. Lauren Burd scored 25 points to lead the Goslings. Milton (8-7, 5-4 Badger South) hosts Jefferson in a nonconference game today.
