Payton Courier tied her season high with 17 points, helping Big Foot separate from East Troy on the way to a 64-54 Rock Valley Conference girls basketball win Monday at Big Foot High.

The Chiefs (9-5, 8-2 RVC) pulled ahead of Whitewater to sit alone in second place, 1 1/2 games back of league-leading Jefferson (9-0 RVC).

East Troy (4-9, 1-9 RVC), which entered Monday with three wins in its last four games, was held to 21 points in the first half. Courier netted 10 early points to help Big Foot build an 11-point lead by halftime.

Courtney Schoenbeck and Zanzie Demco each had 12 points in the win, while Reagan Courier added 11.

Gracie Moker paced the Trojans with 14 points.

Big Foot closes the season with eight straight conference games, beginning Friday at Clinton.
