The Evansville Blue Devils girls basketball team has turned around its season after an 0-5 start.

Paige Banks continued her December scoring binge, setting a career-high with 31 points Monday as the Blue Devils defeated visiting Belleville 69-44 in a nonconference game. Evansville (4-6) has won four of its last five games.

Evansville survived first-half foul trouble to take a 35-27 lead at the break. Banks had 18 of her points in the second half to help the Blue Devils pull away. She is averaging 22.5 points per game in December.

“We were running the offense and the girls were finding good passes,” Evansville coach Tina Aasen said.

Kalin O’Rourke had 13 points to lead Belleville (5-3).
