Edgerton High’s girls basketball team continued its recent surge Friday, rallying from a five-point halftime deficit to pull out a 54-52 Rock Valley Conference road win over Brodhead.

Crimson Tide senior Bethany Oren led all players with 20 points just a few days after reaching the 1,000-point mark for her varsity career in a win over Evansville.

Jessica Danks added 15 points—10 in the second half—for Edgerton (6-13, 4-11 RVC), which has won three of its last four games. The Crimson Tide trailed 24-19 at halftime.

Brodhead (8-10, 5-9 RVC) did not make a 3-pointer in the home loss and the conference’s leading scorer, guard Erin Nyhus, was held to 12 points before fouling out.

Turner 45, Clinton 41—Both offenses came alive after a low-scoring first half, but the Trojans got 17 points from Carson Nitz and 13 from Olivia Tinder to earn a Rock Valley Conference win Friday.

Turner (10-8, 7-8 RVC) snapped a two-game losing streak and swept the season series against Clinton (9-10, 6-9 RVC).

Liz Kalk had 15 points and two 3-pointers to lead the Cougars.

Jefferson 47, East Troy 26—Emilee Truman scored 11 points and Parker Fetherson added 10 as Jefferson improved to 16-1 overall and 13-1 and in first place in the Rock Valley.

The Eagles built a 23-10 lead by halftime. Callie Morrison added nine points and needs six points today against Westosha Central to surpass the 1,000-point mark for her career.

East Troy fell to 1-13 in the league and 6-12 overall.

Whitewater 61, Evansville 29—The score was tied at halftime, but the Whippets pulled away from the host Blue Devils with a 41-9 second-half run.

Whitewater improved to 11-3 in the Rock Valley and 13-5 overall. Abby Grosinske scored 24 points, and Allison Heckert added 16 in the win.

Breana Sendlebach and Leah Wagner each had six points to lead the Blue Devils (3-14, 5-14).

Milton at Oregon—Ellen McCorkle scored a game-high 22 points, and the Panthers built a double-digit first half lead before holding on to sweep the season series over the visiting Red Hawks.

Oregon is 13-6 overall and 6-5 in the Badger South. Milton lost its fourth straight game to fall to 8-10 and 5-6.

Kailey Harbort scored 15 points to lead the Red Hawks, while Emma Martin had 11 and Abbie Campion 10.
