Jacob Slater and Tyler Reineck each scored twice as the Marquette Hilltoppers routed the Janesville Bluebirds 8-0 in a nonconference boys hockey game Saturday at Eble Park Ice Arena.

Ryan Hensien, Slater, Charles Langenfield and Matthew McKenna scored in the first period to help Marquette (13-4-2) create separation. Janesville fell to 2-13-0 overall.

Marquette out-shot Janesville 28-10 in the game.

The Bluebirds are on the road for three games in the next eight days: Tuesday at Kenosha, Thursday at Baraboo/Portage, and Tuesday Jan. 30 at Middleton.
