Kettle Moraine had all the answers at the Janesville Ice Arena on Tuesday night.
Twice the boys hockey team scored multiple goals in less than one minute, and Kettle Moraine beat the Janesville Bluebirds 7-3 in a nonconference game.
The city’s boys co-op team is now 0-3.
The Bluebirds took the lead on Kyler Cobs’ power-play goal less than six minutes in, but Kettle Moraine answered with three goals in 48 seconds with less than three minutes to play in the period.
In the second, a Janesville goal got the team back within 3-2 in the opening minutes. But Kettle Moraine scored at 5:26 and 5:58 to shut down any comeback bid.
“We just got outplayed in the second period. We came back and made it 3-2 briefly, but then they dominated with four unanswered goals,” Janesville coach John Mauermann said. “We didn’t race to the puck and didn’t make good decisions when we had it.”
Freshman Cody Kaas, playing in place of starting goalie Owen Aldrich who was sic, made 24 saves in net.
Janesville hosts Madison Memorial on Thursday night.
