Janesville Parker’s boys basketball team made it two victories in a row Thursday night.
The Vikings (2-8 overall) doubled up Milwaukee Carmen in the first half and won 73-50 in their first game of the Southside Shootout at Cudahy High.
“It was nice to see us extend a lead in the first half and then continue to play and hang on to it in the second half,” Parker head coach Keith Miller said.
Senior Chris Galvan led the way for the Vikings with 22 points, while Kavion Ellison added 14 and Tremar Curry a dozen.
“We’re building off the win over Beloit Memorial. It’s nice to string a couple together,” Miller said. “We’re getting more confident. Kavion is doing a good job of controlling the ball and running our stuff, and then attacking when it’s there.”
Carmen got no closer than 15 or 16 points in the second half, Miller said.
Parker will play Watertown in the Shootout title game at 7 p.m. tonight. The Goslings beat host Cudahy on Thursday night.
