Logan Eischeid came to play in Big Foot High’s boys basketball season opener.

He scored 15 of his game-high 26 points in the second half to help the Chiefs rally from a six-point halftime deficit for a 67-64 nonconference win Monday over the visiting Williams Bay Bulldogs.

Big Foot (1-0) outscored Williams Bay (0-1) 39-30 in the second half, with the 6-foot-3 Eischeid hitting three 3-pointers to lead the charge.

Max Hildebrandt went 3 of 5 from 3-point range and scored 16 points for the Chiefs, who shot 41.8 percent from the field.

Sahej Singh paced the Bulldogs with 24 points, including four 3s. Eric Norton chipped in 15 points.

The Chiefs host Brodhead on Thursday in their Rock Valley Conference opener.

Parkview 62, Monticello 44—Riley Carroll and Eli Hoscheit combined for 41 points to lead the Vikings over the visiting Ponies in a nonconference game.

Parkview (1-0) led 23-15 at halftime and pulled away when Hoscheit scored 18 of his 21 points in the second half. Carroll finished with 20 points.

“We got a glimpse of what possibilities this group has,” Parkview coach Mike Striegl said. “Our defense was good tonight, and we got some great scoring.”

Beloit Turner 63, Rockford Christian (Il.) 61 (2OT)—The visiting Trojans defeated the Royal Lions in a double-overtime game in Rockford.

Turner made two free throws for the only points of the second overtime after each team scored three points in the first OT.

Steve Dillard made six of Turner’s nine 3-pointers on the way to a game-high 27 points, while Sereno Ferone added 14 for the Trojans. They open RVC play Thursday at home against Edgerton.
