The Elkhorn boys basketball team extended its winning streak to five games with a victory Tuesday over visiting Fort Atkinson.

Elkhorn bolted out to a 36-12 lead by halftime before coasting to a 63-46 nonconference win at Elkhorn Area High School.

Quinn McDonald led all scorers with 14 points for the Elks, followed by a combined 19 points for the Umnus twins, Vince and Luke.

Elkhorn is now 12-6 overall.

Braedon Wixom ended with 8 points to lead Fort Atkinson (3-15).

The Elks will attempt to extend the streak to six when they host Southern Lakes Conference rival Delavan-Darien on Thursday.

Delavan-Darien was led by Reese Crull’s 18 points, but the Comets couldn’t keep up in the second half after trailing by just five at the break.

Eli Hoscheit led Parkview with 19 points, while Aydon Campbell added 15 and Riley Carroll 14.
