— A man accused of colliding with a Walworth County sheriff’s deputy in a drunken-driving crash earlier this month was arrested again Thursday on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Kevin W. Horvath, 28, Lake Geneva, was free on bond stemming from an Aug. 11 wreck in which he is suspected of driving the wrong way down Highway 12 and colliding with a deputy, Walworth County Sheriff’s Capt. Scott McClory said in a news release.

A judge ordered Horvath not to drink alcohol and released him on a $2,000 signature bond after the crash, McClory said.

On Thursday, Horvath was stopped at 5:35 a.m. on Highway 12 in Lyons Township, McClory said, and he was asked to undergo field sobriety tests.

Horvath was arrested on suspicion drunken driving, McClory said.

Horvath also was cited for open intoxicants in a vehicle and possession of marijuana, McClory said.

In the Aug. 11 crash, Horvath faces charges of misdemeanor endangering safety by reckless driving and misdemeanor causing injury by operating while intoxicated.

He now faces possible additional charges of misdemeanor drunken driving and misdemeanor bail jumping stemming from the Thursday traffic stop.

Horvath remained in the Walworth County Jail this morning. He’s scheduled to be in court Monday, Sept. 8.

I find sometimes you must use many words to explain what you mean so that the 'slow ones' get your drift.

Curleysue thank you for making my point! In your first post you made it seem as though the whole state of WI was driving in a perpetual state of drunkeness. Now you changed words in your post because you knew u were wrong. I completely agree with the second post.

So this clown is out on bail (with conditions not to drink ANY ALCOHOL) He was in jail on the first charge along with the drunk driving I would assume of causing injury by intoxicated driving therefore this would be A felony bail jumping charge now, so why all the hubbub bub? Charge this clown now hold him for his and all of our own good! Geez its not even Rock Co. riding this case and they are handling it like P*&*&^@! well you know what I mean! Teach this guy A leason before its too late.......

Zioks Scoob! Is that Shaggy?

By the way, the courts have to allow some kind of bond, if he was even held for bond after his booking. Sure is crazy though! Next time this guy will probably kill someone on the road. I hope not though.

Typical WI resident? I think not! Just because the laws of this state allow people the chance to have more than one OWI offense doesnt mean all Wisconsinites drink and drive. Your first OWI should land you a mandatory six months in jail regardless.
