— A Friday drug deal turned out badly for everyone involved.

At about 5 p.m., a 16-year-old male met three other male teens behind Wendy’s, 1530 Milton Ave.

The 16-year-old intended to buy drugs from the trio, according to the Janesville Police Department’s Lt. Keith Lawver.

Instead, he became the victim of a robbery.

A switchblade was displayed, and the three boys punched and threatened him and then stole his wallet.

“The victim gave chase while calling the police,” Lawver said. “He lost them but was able to tell police which direction they went.”

Officers set a perimeter, chased the subjects on foot and took all three into custody.

One of the boys had left his bike behind the McDonald’s located near the crime scene.

All three were arrested on charges of armed robbery, and one was additionally arrested on a charge of resisting arrest.

The incident is still under investigation, and more arrests might be made.

No more information was available Friday evening.

peppermeister, drug deals have been known to be phony. I remember this bag of chives once ...
.
Anyway, with all the arrests on Milton Avenue on Friday night, maybe Janesville has a new crime district.

You know, I am sick and tired of the "doughnut" statements!
No police officer would sink to the point of running on creulers!
Besides, I heard it was bacon.

No mention of drugs being found on the suspects, or of any charges against the victim (who was there to buy drugs). What's up with that?
