Trial in baseball bat murder begins
GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) _ A Green Bay man accused of beating another man to death with a baseball bat is on trial in Brown County.
Twenty-four-year-old Todd Ennis is one of two men charged with first-degree reckless homicide with a dangerous weapon. Twenty-seven-year-old Justin Thomas was beaten with the bat outside a house party in Green Bay last December.
Police Officer Bill Resch testified Monday that he was first to respond to the house and found Thomas covered in blood. Resch says one of the men with Thomas saw Ennis hit Thomas with the bat.
The other man accused in the beating pleaded no contest in June to lesser charges and is scheduled for sentencing Oct. 10.

Here's a hint. If you want to call someone dumb, you should probably learn to spell.

All of you are doing the EXACT same thing that we are doing. Your getting on her whining that we have our own opinions. I'm not telling anyone WHAT to do I'm simply stating my opinion and that is the same thing you are doing now. Why couldn't you just read the blog and keep your mouth shut about it? Because you have an OPINION and you want to express it just as I did. Your being a complete hypocrite Mikki and the rest of you! Again ALL I am saying is that some of this vicims family members may be reading this and I think it's insensitive to make comments like that on here even if the gazette had a misleading title. I'm expressing my 1st ammendment rights just as you are. Your dumb to post something saying other people shouldn't post their opinions but your saying the people that YOU agree with DO have that right. Your an idiot!!

Thanks, Mikki, for saying that.
Perhaps I can make it a little simpler for those I "offended":
I was referring only to the bad wording of the headline that the Gazette printed, nothing more.
You don't know how much stuff I see in these blogs that could offend me, but I've learned to take it in stride.

What's immature is that someone is always complaining about something. Someone makes a joke, and there is always someone else there, whining about it.
We're in a world today of total crybabies. Everyone is walking around looking to be offended about something. Instead of just shaking your head and walking away/turning the channel/not reading...you get into an uproar over someone else's first amendment rights.
It's really pathetic.
If there is a news story, and there is a comments section, someone will comment. Just because YOU don't like what someone else has to say, too bad. Maybe someone doesn't like what YOU have to say. Ever think of that?

I just think the some jokes should be kept to yourself. I dont think this young man's family would find this funny at all no matter what the headline says. Its just a matter of thinking about other people's feelings. The things I read on here sometimes, it's like people don't think family and friends of these victims read these postings. I know my heart would be broken to hear people making jokes about a relative or friend of mine even if it was just about the headline. It's just immature!

jsvlparkergrad: if you weren't trying to ridicule the person who was killed or trying to make a crude joke, then wouldn't your first post have said 'Read the headline "Trial in baseball bat murder begins". Doesn't that sound misleading?'? You were following the childish humor of jvldss and you two make me sick.

Read the headline "Trial in baseball bat murder begins". Doesn't that sound misleading? What I was trying to point out is that there should have been a better way of wording it.
I'm sorry if people think that I was ridiculing the person who was killed. That was not the intention.

i like how they go into detail about this 'house party'. im going to assume that this was a book club party serving tea, crackers, and various cheeses from around the state. theres no way im gonna believe they left out the minor detail that both of these individuals were intoxicated on the 'eviler of two evils' cuz theres no way that would cause such ignorant violence.....
