Gazette affected by computer problems

By Sid Schwartz ( Contact )   September 9, 2008 - 7:29 a.m.

Newsroom computer problems forced changes in today’s edition of The Janesville Gazette.

Today’s paper will have fewer pages than normal and will be missing some content.

“We’re making every effort to get your Janesville Gazette out in a timely manner,” Gazette General Manager Dave Johnson said. “If we miss some things along the way, we’ll update you in Wednesday’s paper or on www.gazettextra.com. Thanks for your understanding.”

Thank you for saying that, SarahB. I doubt it's easy to pull a daily paper together in this day and age when the computers are being less than helpful.

Hey grouchy grandma! You said earlier you cancelled your subscription. So what's it to you anyway? Pipe down and go yell at the grandkids.

People complain about everything! Give the newspaper a break. I am sure its staff doesn't welcome the situation.

Why is it that Janesville loves to hate the Gazette? Been here 45 years and the attitude never changes. The Gazette is one of the highest regarded papers in the nation and yet the citizens of this city continue to berate and degrade this fine publication.

Like the HAL 9000 said "It can only be attributable to human error, Dave."
