Obama introduces Biden at rally

By Associated Press   August 23, 2008 - 4:48 p.m.

SPRINGFIELD, Ill.--Barack Obama introduced Sen. Joe Biden of Delaware on Saturday as a man "ready to step in and be president," and the newly minted running mate quickly converted his debut on the Democratic ticket into a slashing attack on Republicans seeking four more years in the White House.

Sen. John McCain will have to "figure out which of the seven kitchen tables to sit at" when considering his own economic future, said Biden, jabbing at the man he called his personal friend.

It was a reference to McCain’s recent inartful admission — in a time of economic uncertainty — that he was not sure how many homes he owns.

Before a vast crowd spilling out from the front of the Old State Capitol, Obama said Biden was "what many others pretend to be — a statesman with sound judgment who doesn’t have to hide behind bluster to keep America strong."

Democrats coalesced quickly around the 47-year-old Obama’s selection of the veteran of three decades in the Senate — a choice meant to provide foreign policy heft to the party’s ticket for the fall campaign against McCain and the Republicans.

Biden emerged as Obama’s choice after a secretive selection process that reviewed at least a half-dozen contenders — but evidently not Hillary Rodham Clinton, the former first lady who was Obama’s tenacious rival across the primaries and caucuses of winter and spring.

*Biden is looking better than ever after his speech. This is clearly the candidate that the Republicans did NOT want Obama to pick.*

Huh? Republicans are thrilled with this pick. They feared he'd pick Hillary or Richardson. Instead, he picks out a guy who's been in the Senate since McCain was in Hanoi, a guy who voted for the Iraq War and a guy who can't keep his foot out of his mouth while answering the simplest of questions with a four-page answer.

This ticket is the first in a long, long time that has no one with any military experience at all. It features the #1 and #3 most liberal members of the Senate. And of course, who can argue with the long, long love affair that Americans have with Northeastern liberals in national elections!

As the kids say these days: "Epic fail."

If he were a Muslim and was honest about it, or formerly a Muslim, and honest about it, I would at least respect him. He ducks the subject, gets touchy, and won't even repudiate or explain the childhood in Indonesia. Many of his major associates are Muslim, and has ties to the Nation of Islam in Chicago. Just be honest, that is what we need. He is trying to hide this information more than Bill Clinton hid his draft record and pot smoking. Once again, if it is a conservative telling the truth, it is a swift boat. A liberal lying, it is CNN.

Here's what Biden said about Obama:
"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,"
.
I think Biden's flattery earn him the VP nomination.

Notice how everytime we turn around, Obama claims he is not a Muslim, but is continually linked to people like Rezko (Syria), the son of the Nation of Islam Leader, Islamic family members, and Pastor Wright who is theologically more in tune with Farrahkaan than Christianity? What exactly is "Black Liberation Theology" anyway, and why does it not recieve scrutiny from our liberal media as racial separatism? Obama is a fraud, and his actions and history speak much louder than his tele-prompter.
