Number one, how does one get charged with hit and run if he was not the driver? And number two, the driver, if found in the vehicle with the keys in the ignition can be charged with OWI. The vehicle does not even have to be running and can be in park. Thoughts & Prayers to the woman and her family along with a speedy recovery. Hopefully the young man had insurance.

I hope the guys get what they deserve, however I don't have faith in our justice system. My prayers go out to the lady involved. In reference to biffklg and sannio there is a comma between Brodhead police and Med Flight.

they didnt think theyd get away with it. the 'eviler of two evils' made them think they could and that was more important than the welfare of the lady in the car. its absolutey sick and insulting that this crap happens every day on every road in every town every where, yet im a criminal for possessing a plant that no one has EVER died from. these tools need to be thrown in jail for a long time and uncle sam needs to get his head out of his....

Since they didn't catch them driving drunk in the vehicle, how can they say he was drunk? I mean the guy got home, had a few drinks. (yeah, right) Unless the guy admitted he was drunk when it happened. Not defending the guy, just going by what the blurb says.

Did these tools really think they'd get away with it? How do you possibly explain the damage to your truck? It's so unfortunate that the driver doing the right thing ended up being the one hurt. Why is it never the other way around?

So there were a few grammatical errors in the story, figure it out and get over it. More importantly the DRUNK DRIVER and his passenger left the scene of an accident and for all they know, could have left someone to die.
