Wayward driver hits parade watchers in Sheboygan
SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) — Three people are injured after a driver hit a parade in Sheboygan.
Sheboygan County Sheriff’s dispatcher Lyn Sprengel says deputies got a report of an erratic driver around 9:15 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 43 and tried to stop the driver. They chased the vehicle toward the city of Sheboygan.
She says deputies discontinued the chase when they got closer to the city.
She says the driver continued into the parade route and hit some people at the 55th Annual Brat Days Parade that started at 9 a.m. It’s part of Johnsonville’s Brat Days.
Ryan Zinkel, from Brat Days, says three people were injured but none severely. He says two people were taken to a hospital.
He says the parade was canceled after the crash. He had no other details.

Why not let him go? Like they wouldn't catch him later.

That's funny I didn't read anything about the driver being drunk! Never assume anything, you don't know what was wrong.
