Hi my name is John McCain, In the last two years Obama has not stopped the war, reduced the cost of fuel or lowered the consumption of fossil fuels. I, John McCain, have been in office 20 years, resting on my lauerls (remember, I was a veteran), and doing nothing. We cannot elect a young man, African American, non the less with no history of doing nothing and expect him to lead our great country. Yeah I'd vote for "none of the above." Actually I wish we had a primary/secondary vote system. You vote for your primary candidate, and if he/she loses then your secondary vote is applied. So many people want to vote for a 3rd party candidate but then vote for dem/rep because they don't want to risk the greater of 2 evils from getting elected. Not that I ever expect such a system to come to fruition.

More on topic, I completely understand the politics of dropping this delegate. The party chooses the delegates to support the party. It's not like these are publicly elected delegates to represent the people.

It is really a shame that there is not a selection on the ballot marked "None of the above". It would win -- hands down.

Obama did not visit the wounded troop because the Pentagon told him he could NOT. The Pentagon did not make the decision until Wednesday. The Pentagon also put a disclaimer that only Senate staff could go with Obama to visit the troops. Because his senate staff had already left the region (ONLY after visiting Iraq and Afghanistan) the campaign staff was not allowed in to see the troops in Germany.

The Pentagon only made this decision after the warm welcome and actual TALKING by Obama with the regional leaders. McCain was floundering at home visiting a Brat and beer place in Ohio to prove he did not need to go to Germany to connect.

Has anyone also taken into account that Scott McClellan also admitted on Chris Matthew's Hardball that the Bush administration fed talking points to FOX for the Bush white house? Maybe that is why O'Reilly and the other puppets on FOX news, fair and balanced, were saying what was said.

So nice of him to go to Iraq. Now that the Surge, that he voted against, has worked, and Iraq is more peaceful.
If we had went with Obama's plan for Iraq, we a would now be seeing the Iraqi army collapsing, civilian casualties increasing dramatically, al-Qaida killing cooperative Sunni sheiks and finding safe havens to train fighters and launch attacks on Americans, and civil war, genocide and a wider conflict.
Above all, America would have been humiliated and weakened. Terrorists would have seen our defeat as evidence America lacked the resolve to defeat them. As Iraq descended into chaos, other countries in the Middle East would have come to the aid of their favored factions, and the entire region might have erupted in war.
Tell me I'm that far off.
McCain would rather lose a campaign than lose a war, Obama would rather win a campaign than win a war.

We've got one person criticizing him for visiting troops in Kuwait, calling it a campaign event, and another for skipping the troops in Germany for that exact reason.

i was a staunch democrat until the 1990's. then i saw who the face of the party was. how it went over the top on too many ULTRA LIBERAL issues. and seemed to somewhat lose it's moral direction. i became embarassed by the constant whinning and excuse making. i was ashamed to say i was a democrat at that point. i consider myself to be a modrate and see some good in each party but much bad in them also.

What party would EVER allow this? Certainly the party has the right to determine who represents them at the national convention. Can you imagine the drubbing a Republican delegate would get for supporting a Democrat? I'm sure that Drudge would run a siren headline, Michelle Malkin would be peeking inside his kitchen windows, and Bill O'Reilly would be sifting his garbage by the end of the week.
