Magnum won't run for Congress
Dave Magnum issued a statement today, saying he would not run this year for the 2nd District congressional seat held by Tammy Baldwin, D-Madison.
Magnum, a Republican who owns a number of radio stations, lost to Baldwin in 2004 and 2006. He did not rule out running sometime in the future.
The Federal Elections Commission lists two Republicans running for their party’s nomination in the 2nd District: David Redick and Daniel Peter Theron.
The full text of Magnum’s statement: “While I am grateful for all the calls of encouragement, I won't be a candidate in ’08. Since the last campaign, I've added more radio stations to my group, and I need to concentrate on getting them up to speed. I appreciate the folks who believe I'd make a good public servant, and I do hope to prove them right one day.”

Why would we want to replace Tammy with a republican?
Congress has tried to do the right thing but because of republicans blocking the efforts, time and time again, we american middle and under class have been made to suffer.
We need to vote out republicans come november. visit <wwwstopoilspeculators.com>...see how our reps have voted and who they have taken money from. Ryan has pocketed over100k from big oil. Baldwin....less than 10k. Feingold about the same amount as Tammy. Kohl.....kind of p.o'd at him for his fisa vote.
Vote democrat come november. It's time we take back our government from right wing republicans who want to turn America into a corporatist fascist nation.
