The Halloween parties at school were always fun. We would make construction paper decorations, draw fall- or Halloween themed pictures and you got to show off your costume. You got some treats and your UNICEF collection box and a trick-or-treating safety kit with a bag and reflective stickers. Harmless fun. I don't recall any child in any of my classes not being allowed by a parent or guardian to participate. Don't take this away from the kids. They have very few innocent times left to be a child as it is.
To see this poll aparently not many have little kids or remember the excitement when we did this as kids. I am 57 and we did it and it seems as if little kids cannot be that anymore they have 4 year old kindergarten and it is SAD that kids are forced to grow up and not enjoy their childhood They are expected to sit quiet and not talk at such a young age..... LET THEM BE KIDS FOR A WHILE as all to soon they are grown and gone.
Why wouldn't they be allowed? Is someone considering banning Halloween parties for school kids in our area?
